Darlene Deben is a native of the Washington, DC area. She and
her husband have been married since 1985. They have three
children: a daughter who is 21 and two sons who are 19 and 13.
Darlene is Vice President and co-owner of a contracting firm. She
is also a pageant consultant and owns/operates "It's Good to be
Queen" Pageant Consulting. She has coached many state and
national winners. She also works as an actress, model, and
voice-over artist and is represented by
Linda Townsend
Management
in the Washington, DC area, and KA Management in
Orlando, Florida. She has done work for many organizations such
as: The American Red Cross, Nextel, The Washington Post, The
United Way / NFL Campaign, Hallmark "Hall of Fame",
Washington "WeddingPages" magazine, and the "West Wing".

Darlene serves her community by volunteering with various
organizations such as:
Sidelines (which supports women with
high-risk pregnancies), Inova Blood Donor Services, and
MADD.
Darlene and her family are an Ambassador Family for the National
Capital Area Chapter of the
March of Dimes. She is a recipient of
the President's Volunteer Service Award. Darlene is also active in
her church.

Darlene holds several titles, including: Mrs. Virginia - America
1998, Ms. American United States Woman 2002, and
Mrs. North
America Galaxy 2007
. Currently, she is the reigning Mrs. Galaxy
International 2008
.

Darlene is also a pageant emcee and judge. She is a certified Miss
America preliminary judge, and is also certified as a Miss Universe
Organization preliminary judge. In November 2001, Darlene judged
the Miss DC USA pageant and the winner, Shauntay Hinton, went
on to be crowned Miss USA 2002! Darlene is currently the Judges'
Chair for the Miss Frederick Program (Miss Maryland America).

In her spare time Darlene enjoys attending Orioles' baseball
games, camping, trout-fishing, golfing, reading, antique-hunting,
collecting Dr. Pepper memorabilia, and bargain shopping.
