Est 2007
Hello, everyone! I am Yunmao Ayakawa, a Japanese cosplay,
model, writer, artist and "talent." Ever since I was little, I've loved
manga (Japanese graphic novels), anime, and costume play
(cosplay) more than anyone else I knew. This led me to start
doing cosplay and designing my own costumes and characters.
My love for costuming allowed for me to be scouted seven years
ago while cosplaying a character at an event. This led to me
becoming a professional talent and Idol. An idol is what we call
models in Japan. Because of my love and knowledge of
Japanese pop culture, I began appearing in television programs,
magazines, websites, and more, as well as being asked to
represent companies at various events. Besides being an idol, I
am also an illustrator, writer, planner, spokesperson, designer,
and manage a few other creative jobs that promote Japanese
Entertainment and Pop culture.

Some of the TV programs I have been on are "Japanarama"
which airs on BBC, "Otaku" in Spain, and in Japan, "Moete
Mucho" and other Japanese variety shows. But best of all I had a
staring role in a small superhero series called "CHOSOKU
SENSHI G-FIVE" in Japan. Besides TV I am a top idol download
for Japanese cell phone screen savers, games and I host a "Dear
Abby" style advice service via cell phones in Japan. In America I
write an ongoing article in Otaku USA magazine about Japanese
Anime, Maids and otaku culture.

Some may think I am a geek but I also love fast cars and the
import racing scene! Every year I am featured as a race queen for
Japanese racing teams and was selected as Top "Race Queen"
at Japan's Super Taikyu Race in 2005 and 2006. As an illustrator I
am also asked to design many costumes for the racing queens
that represent the teams.

This will be my fourth time venturing to an American event and I
am very excited. I usually get invited to Anime events in the US so
this will be the first event I am doing for US entertainment so I am
eager to see everyone. I am always glad to entertain anyone who
wants to learn more about Japanese Pop Entertainment and
Anime.

Thank you for having me come to your event. I hope everyone
will have a good time and enjoy them selves. Models please do
your best!
